Body Positive Yoga

In Yoga Magazine's 2019 edition, Donna Noble (founder of Curvesome Yoga) wrote an article entitled 'Body Positivity,' in which she wrote the quoted text. I believe that one of the benefits of entering your yoga journey while pregnant or in the postnatal period, is that the focus is on the mind-body connection. In the Western culture we often think that being thin and flexible are pre-requisites for practising yoga; practising while pregnant/postnatal with Sage Yoga ensures that we move the focus from the external perception of yoga and directs it towards a deeper kind of practice. This is a practice which encourages self-love and self-acceptance. When you can direct this kindness towards yourself, it becomes easier to share it with your children and all others around you. Whenever practising yoga, try to keep self-love and self-acceptance as a foundation of all else you do.
